Babette and Malik

September 17, 2007

Babette and Malik were married on September 2, at Villa De Amore in Temecula. A month or so ago I wrote about shooting a wedding on a really hot day in Pasadena. Well, this day in Temecula was so much hotter–110 degrees at noon, when I arrived at the estate. As you’ll see from the pictures, Malik’s head needed to be wiped down several times during the ceremony ;-)

Corinne and Scott

June 4, 2007

Corinne and Scott were married at South Coast Winery in Temecula. Due to a huge accident on I-15 in Temecula, which had traffic backed up from Temecula to Fallbrook, I was about 10 minutes late arriving for my scheduled shoot time. But it was worth the wait, as Scott and Corinne were absolutely fantastic. Also had the opportunity to shoot with a new associate, Mark Harrelson. Great job, Mark!

Wedding of Yvette and Mark

November 25, 2006

Yvette and Mark were married on November 18, with the ceremony held at the Old Town Chapel in Temecula, followed by the reception at the Falkner Winery. Yvette was an absolutely stunning bride (as is obvious in these photos).

dvArtistry in action!

November 22, 2006

My buddy Dan Boswell owns dvArtistry, the most creative and cutting-edge wedding videography company I’ve ever seen. I don’t even think you can call it “videography”, it’s really more like cinematography. Dan combines a photographer’s sense of lighting and angles with a cinematographer’s sense of motion. His movies are amazing.

Anyway, this was shot on November 18 at the South Coast Winery in Temecula, for the Kelder/Bilello wedding (images coming soon). I love the orange halo around his head from the tungsten lamp behind him, combined with the stream of sunlight hitting his face. My wife thinks it looks like some sort of Caravaggio painting.

If you want to check out more of Dan’s work, you can visit his Web site at www.dvartistry.com.

Sitting here while my daughter eats her cinnamon toast, bananas, and Cheerios, I completely forgot to update my blog!

Derek and Melissa were married back in June at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula. Such a fantastic couple to work with, so fun and romantic with two warm, welcoming families. Here are some highlights.
