Felicia and Warren were married this past Sunday at the Japanese Gardens at CSULB. The reception was held at Furiwa Restaurant in Garden Grove.

Felicia and Warren were fantastic to work with. Since we were booked to set up a photo booth (with on-site printing) at the reception, their wedding involved a bit more preparation than usual. But Warren and Felicia were rockstars and did an extraordinary job of being gracious hosts to their large gathering of guests.

Special thank to Michael Andrews, associate shooter extraordinaire, and Kelly Kramer for a kick-ass job of assisting. Also special kudos to Lisa Moon of Lisa Moon Events, whose attention to detail and positive attitude kept everything running smoothly.

I had the honor of photographing Kristen and Tom’s wedding on the island of Kauai. The ceremony was held on Anini Beach, which is on the north shore of Kauai, nestled between Princeville and Kilauea. The reception was held nearby at a wonderful Balinese-style estate.

Kristen and Tom are two of the most wonderful, down-to-earth people one could ever hope to meet, much less work for. It’s always nice when the words “client” and “friend” become synonymous.

Jen was able to sneak away from work for a few days and accompany me on the trip, which was great. It was our first real vacation in a while, although Jen did manage to do quite a bit of work from the lanai at the B&B where we stayed. Not a bad way to make business happen–one hand on the laptop, the other on a glass of Pinot Grigio ;-)

Special thanks to Marlene Mira of Mira*mira Events in Hawaii for her fabulous wedding coordination!

Michelle and Brett were married on September 5, in San Sebastian, Spain. San Sebastian is a very special place for Michelle and Brett, as it was where they met 10 years ago, when both were in the midst of a year-long program studying Spanish.

The wedding was held on the patio of a restaurant called La Perla, which overlooks San Sebastian’s signature beach, “La Concha”. After the wedding we headed over to Parte Vieja, the old part of San Sebastian, for some fantastic portraits and a nice walk through the section of the city. The reception was held at a beautiful old facility overlooking the city.

San Sebastian and Biarritz

September 9, 2008

Just got back from a whirlwind trip to San Sebastian, Spain, to photograph the wedding of Michelle and Brett. Had an awesome time and although I’m exhausted, I wanted to put up some images of San Sebastian and Biarritz, which is right across the border in France.
